Supporting field to fork sustainability

Our tates are full of natural goodness and we rely on mother nature to help them grow that way. We’re on a mission to look after the natural environment at every stage in the journey – from our place to yours.

Stepping in the right direction

We’re fully committed to continuing to reduce our carbon footprint throughout all our operations and investing in the journey towards true net zero potatoes.

Embracing biodiversity

Nanna Tate potatoes are grown by dedicated farmers on some of the best potato-producing land in the UK. Nurturing native hedgerows and planting wildflower areas to help the birds, bees and other vital pollinators to thrive is an integral part of looking after the land for generations to come.

Looking after the earth

Our growers are fully invested in caring for the natural environment from the ground up. Carefully planned seven-year field rotations, along with regular soil assessments to check nutrition, structure and moisture levels help them to nurture and protect their most precious resource.

Renewable energy

Potato power

We believe in finding the best home for all our tates, even the wonky ones. Any potatoes that aren’t fit for people to eat can be fed to our on-site anaerobic digestor. Along with our many solar panels, this is a big part of the renewable energy that powers our factories.
