burger sauce dirty fries

Ingredients

For the fries

• 3 medium/large Nanna Tate Potatoes
• 2 tbsp vegetable oil
• 1 tsp cornflour
• 1/2 tsp paprika
• Salt & pepper to taste

burger sauce

• 3 tbsp mayonnaise
• 1 tbsp American mustard
• 2 tbsp ketchup
• 25g cornichons or gherkins, drained and finely chopped

salad bits

• 1/4 of an iceberg lettuce, finely shredded
• 1 large tomato, chopped into chunky pieces
• 3-4 gherkins, sliced
• Crispy onions
• 1/4 red onion, finely sliced

Let’s get cooking!

    cut & coat

    Wash the potatoes (no need to peel) and cut into fries around 1cm thick. Rinse under cold water and dry on a clean tea towel. Sprinkle with cornflour and paprika and mix until the fries are evenly coated, then toss in the oil and season with salt & pepper.

    cook & mix

    Cook the fries in the air fryer for around 20 minutes at 190oC, shaking the basket halfway through for an even cook.
    Combine all the burger sauce ingredients in a bowl and mix well.

  • Step 3 of 3

    serve up

    Place the fries on a large platter, add the iceberg lettuce down the centre. Sprinkle over with the remaining salad bits, then drizzle over with the burger sauce and serve.
